Teaching
As an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University, I have the privilege of teaching Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship to the next generation of social innovators and changemakers. I design these classes based on the skills needed to have a successful early career in the social impact space. Understanding that continuous growth and learning are required to level up into more strategic positions over time. Consider this a starter pack for building an impactful career.
The Social Impact of Business
This class takes a philosophical perspective. Together, we examine what literature says the social impact of business is and should be, what society thinks the social impact of business is and should be, and finally, what we think the social impact of business is and should be. After examining these different perspectives, we then assume the role of business leaders, making impact-focused business decisions within this complex environment.
There is a lot of health debate in this class, but that results in a deeper understanding of the complexity and empathy for business leaders making impactful decisions.

Funding and Measuring Social Impact
In this class, students take a social entrepreneur's perspective to develop an impact measurement framework and an investment strategy to fund the impact. Following this, they identify impact-aligned investors and develop a pitch to secure the required funding.

System Thinking & Theory of Change
This class takes a systems thinking approach to large-scale systems change and collective impact. Students take the perspective of an impact consultant tasked with developing a system-level theory of change that requires collective impact. In parallel, the students learn about human factors such as failure, collaboration, communication, power, and leadership to develop their capacity to collaborate with others to drive large-scale system change.
