Why a podcast?

It's a legitimate question for sure. The reality, when I am in the classroom with students, or having an inspiring conversation with friends, I wish others could BE there. I wish others could learn from all the amazing people in my life. I wish that others could learn from how my students grapple with concepts and challenge themselves. I wish others could learn from my graduates' experiences as they go out and find their place in the world.

A podcast makes that possible. More than that, a podcast turns my story into OUR story. Because the truth, I am an amalgamation of the people I have met and the experiences I have had with them. I am because they are. Ubuntu.
Ubuntu means "I am because you are."
I am who I am because of the wild adventures I took with my childhood friends, the people I have worked with to change the world, and the mentors who have let me stand on their shoulders.
My vision for the podcast is to have conversations with people I have met along the way. We will laugh at the good times I am sure. I have no doubt you will learn things about me that I would rather not share. But most importantly, you will realize that life is messy, but despite the mess, the people you do it with make it beautiful. And that is what matters.
I know some pretty incredible humans. They are not famous. But they have so much wisdom to share. I can not wait for you to hear their stories.
